Louisiana Boat Bill of Sale
The Louisiana vessel bill of sale is provided by the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries to assist private owners in selling their boat legally. The form, once filled in, must be signed in front of a notary public. The form should be kept by each party for documentation and the new owner will need to file the form when registering at a Regional Wildlife and Fisheries Office.
How to Write
In order to fill in the bill of sale properly, please follow the instructions below.
The form must be filled-in with the corresponding field description:
- Parish Name
- Seller’s Full name
- Buyer’s Full Name
- Registration Number (if registered)
- Model Year
- Manufacturer/Make
- Boat Hull Identification Number (HIN)/ Motor Serial Number
- Sale Price – Boat | Motor
- Date of Sale
- Signature of Buyer and Seller
- Notary Acknowledgment
