Jackson County, Alabama Bill of Sale
The Jackson county bill of sale is used as a fillable form for a buyer and seller to negotiate and commit to a written transaction. If the registration for the bill of sale is not completed within twenty (20) days, then the new owner will be charged a penalty of $15.
The bill of sale should contain the following in order for it to be considered legitimate by the Probate Revenue Commission;
- Buyer’s Name and Address
- Seller’s Name and Address
- Vehicle Information
- Make
- Model
- Year
- VIN#
- Purchase Price
- Signature of Buyer
- Signature of Seller
- Odometer Disclosure Form
As an option, there are blank lines if there are witnesses to the transaction or if it was signed in front of a notary public (recommended). Also, if the vehicle was in part a trade-in, the vehicle information should be provided.
